Russellville -- Jewel Grimes, 81, of Russellville, died at 6:15 p.m. Monday in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville after an extended illness. She was a graduate of Waveland High School. Born Dec. 16, 1894, she was a daughter of John Gilbert and Alma Starks McClain of Green Township in Parke County. She was married to Julius Grimes on Dec. 2, 1914. Survivors are her husband; three sons, Warren E. of Oak Ridge, Tenn., Jean of Ladoga and David E. of Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Sue Mitchell of New Market; two brothers, Everett of Rockville and Neal of Brazil; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in McGaughey & Son Funeral Home at Russellville. Burial will be in Russellville Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.--waw
